Willoughby - Drake

Sara Elizabeth Drake and Kyle Steven Willoughby were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, February 18, 2017, in a double ring ceremony in Playa Mujeres, Mexico. Sara is the daughter of Tommy and Kimberly Drake of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Bruce and Kaye Harbison, and the late Tom and Chris Drake of Cullman.
Kyle is the son of Van Willoughby of Cullman, and Karin and Mike Brock of Gulf Shores. He is the grandson of the late Orval Marlin Willoughby and Amy Bagget Willoughby, and the late Einar Andreas Tandberg-Hanssen and Erna Ronning Tandberg-Hanssen.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a Mikaella Paloma Blanca crêpe wedding gown with a bateau neckline, spaghetti straps, and a fit and flare skirt with shaped seams at the back which made this signature gown both sleek and lavish. The gown was adorned with a hand-sewn organza sash with rhinestone and crystal beading at the waistline. The sheer white, single-tiered veil cascaded from the bride's elegant bun hairstyle. To finish this elegant and classy look, the bride wore nude-colored pumps that boasted rhinestone detail on the front. The bride's hand-held posy bouquet was adorned with white Dutch Coco hydrangeas, white tulips and white roses.
Sara chose Sydney Smith as her maid of honor and Jacquelyn Willoughby and Jennifer Willoughby as her matrons of honor. Each wore a different styled blush gown. They wore diamond rhinestone earrings, a gift from the bride that dangled nicely with their classy upswept hairstyle. Each attendant carried bouquets fashioned after the bride's bouquet. Kyle chose Chad Knop as his best man and groomsmen were Thomas E. Drake, III and Christopher Herrin Drake.
The reception was held on the terrace overlooking the Yucatan Peninsula on the grounds of Secrets Playa Mujeres. It was decorated with numerous, sparkling lights throughout, and dining tables were decorated with silver candelabras that were flowing with white Dutch Coco hydrangeas, white tulips, and white roses. After their wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, the couple now resides together in Cullman.
A heartfelt thanks and gratitude goes to all family and friends for going above and beyond to make their dream wedding such a wonderful, memorable day! Thank you for your generous gifts and sweet wishes, and most of all, for your love and prayers!
